Description
Basic package:
Blood count
A blood count is a complex test used to determine the relative and absolute number, type, size, shape, and other physical characteristics of the formed elements (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets) present in the blood.
Total urine + sediment
Screening for metabolic and renal disorders.
75g blood sugar tolerance
The test is used to detect gestational diabetes, diabetes that has not yet caused complaints, and the condition that precedes it (decreased glucose tolerance), and to assess carbohydrate metabolism.
The test is performed in the morning on an empty stomach with two samples. First, fasting blood is taken, followed by a blood sugar check. If the measured value is less than 7 .00 mmol/l, the test can be performed. The expectant mother then consumes a sweet solution containing 75g of glucose. This is followed by a second blood test after 120 minutes, from which glucose tolerance can be determined after checking the blood sugar level.
During normal metabolism, the 120-minute value should return to a level around the fasting value. If it stays higher, the result may indicate a carbohydrate metabolism disorder.

Vitamin D
It examines problems related to bone metabolism as well as parathyroid function.
The main function of vitamin D is to maintain the balance of calcium homeostasis. Calcium is an essential building material of bones, the absorption of which is facilitated by vitamin D, which is produced in the skin mainly by sunlight, but can also be taken into the body in smaller amounts with food. Adequate intake of vitamin D is essential for the expectant mother because it contributes to the healthy development of the skeletal system, musculature, and nervous system of the foetus.
Serum iron
The test is used to measure the amount of iron in the body. Iron is an essential trace element that promotes the formation of healthy red blood cells. Low iron levels can lead to anaemia, which can occur during pregnancy as the developing foetus utilizes the mother’s reserves. If it persists for a long time, the risk of developmental disorders as well as premature birth increases significantly.
Transferrin
Examination of the blood’s ability to transport iron.
Transferrin is the major iron-carrying protein in the blood. From the degree of iron saturation, it can be inferred that the body’s iron stores are full. Transferrin concentrations are decreased in case of malnutrition and other conditions that cause a decrease in plasma proteins.
